Events Run by Rúnatýr Kindred:
Symbels:
Symbel is understood by Rúnatýr Kindred to be a ritualistic communal drinking of mead, beer, wine or any other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. A horn is past clock-wise for no less than three rounds, from individual to individual. The three rounds consist of:
- to the Holy Powers
- to heroes and ancestors
- toast, boast or oath
No one may leave the circle prior to the completion of the three rounds, after which, rounds are open for any of the above as well as skaldic works. This tradition mingles the wyrd of all present and binds them to that of the other participants.
Quarterly Blóts:
Blót is understood by Rúnatýr Kindred to consist of an offering of food or, drink to our holy powers. These offerings shall be collected in a suitable blótboli, sanctified and eventually offered, through the earth, to the recipient(s) of the gift. Blót traditionally was a blood offering of usually an animal however, Rúnatýr Kindred does not practice blood offerings at public events.
